“I can do cardio and some conditioning by myself, but I want to start gaining muscle and strength with weights and lifting and pretty much anything, I just have no idea how to go about it. Help?”
-Anonymous

If you’re looking to build muscle and strength (hypertrophy) you need to use a higher weight and low reps.  Reps between 6-8 is optimal and do three sets.  You should feel a burn in the last two repetitions and by the final repetitions in the third set you should really have to push yourself.

“Hey there! I've just decided to start eating clean and working out and I'm really excited about it. I used to do a lot of sports so I understand conditioning and strength training, but I was wondering if you have any advice about getting rid of cellulite? Thanks!”
-Anonymous

Hey! Cellulite is a toughy, there really is no magic cure to it.  It usually happens from the accumulation of fat creating dimples.  Exercising is a great way to decrease the look of dimples.  Keep strength and condition training, but don’t forget about the cardio! Running is THE best exercise for full body and losing fat mass.  Good luck on your journey, you seem very enthused and I know you’re going to do amazing! :) Feel free to come to me if you need anything else xoxo.

“I have a snacking problem. I'm in pretty good shape, exercise and eat well except in the evenings. What's a good healthy low carb snack. One that will curb my munches? Peace & Love!☀🌻”

The best way to curb the munchies is to have a snack that has at least two food groups. Go for something like a small salad with a little chicken breast strips. Or you could do a greek yogurt and mix in some fresh fruit or nuts. Or you could even make a fruit smoothy with ice and frozen fruits, then add some whole milk. I find smoothies to be very filling and its healthy :).

“I love blogs like yours, it really makes me want to recover from my eating disorder and be healthy, Thank you:)”

That’s one of the reasons i have my blog the way it is. Thank you for this message :) i know you will beat it because you want to and you are strong!

“I saw a girl here on tumblr saying that a person is not " fit" if she doesn't lift or if she does " youtube video workouts" and I got really mad. Can get a flat stomach without going to a gym? what can I do? I lost 22 lbs already but I am still skinny fat :&”
-Anonymous

Yes of course you can, that’s a silly statement because being ‘fit’ has a wide range. Everybody has different goals. For a flat stomach do pilates and run. If you cant run start going for lengthy walks. If you want a specific workout message me privately and ill make you one :).

“you are amazing, girl!”
-katieasana

Thankyou, that made my day :)!

“I'm 5'1, 133 pounds. But let me make sure I'm doing everything right. Okay, I cleaned up my eating a LOT, I work out every day I know you're not supposed to do that, but I don't do really rough exercises every day I just feel really good when I work out. should I be eating a certain amount of calories or anything? some people say you shouldn't count them, and some people say you should.”
-Anonymous

Working out everyday is okay if you are working out different body parts.  Your muscles need rest to rejuvenate. As for the amount of calories, I’m not big on calories counting.  Calories aren’t the determining factor if something is good or bad for you.  Try to stay away from foods high in unsaturated fats as they must be chemically altered, and foods with high sugar content.  Focus on getting enough vitamins, minerals, fiber…etc :)
